gear performance

Ca serai pour savoir,si quelqu'un a posé ou qui a un de ses chum qui a posé une gear de kia sportage ,de différenciel avant, savoir si ca vaut la peine pis si y a eu des problème ,ca serai mon inverstisement pour l'anné prochaine, merci!!

Moi j'connais quelqu'un... Kathy son chum habite lévis et travail cher Lévy honda ... pis y parait que c'est le jours et la nuit

j'en ai fait une a mon garage.Warnek va surement poster la dessus. pis oui ca parrais, a basse vitesse surtout 1-2-3 , ca prend la yellow box a 80 $ pour coriger le speedo !

c'est vrai que ca parait beaucoup....DRIFT EASILY!!
on a fait bcp de test avec un 2.0L avec gear vs 2.2L stock, pis y'a genre 3 longeur de char de difference avec avant l'installation....

c'est hors contexte mais y sont plus ensemble depuis un bout.....

sont surtout dure a suivre... une semaines sont plus ensemble... l,autres oui... un autres y sont ensemble..etc..etc..

Here is how simple it is to install:

Take off kick panel. There is one white plastic screw up by the dash, under the end of the rubber around the windshield. There is a red plastic screw in the end of the kick panel by the dead pedal. Pull up on the plastic door sill and free up the end of the kick panel, once this is down, pull it out and manuver it around the hood release.

Locate the accessory power slot in the fuse box. Locate the Honda ground location near the fuse box. Take the red wire from the yellowbox and crimp or solder a sleeve connector on the end, do the same for the black wire, but use a ring or u connector. These are your power and ground. Attach them.

Cut the speed sensor wire
It is the blue one with white stripe. I found it pretty fast using these pictures:





The signal flows from low to high. Of the two wires left on the yellowbox one is input and one is output. Consult the instructions to make sure you put the input on the bottom of the cut speedo wire and the output on the top.

Make all of these connections with the car OFF!

Don't bother putting the car back together yet. Tuck the wires away from the clutch and turn the car on(but don't press start). Watch the yellowbox LED for flashes. If it flashes, take her for a spin. If it seems to be working, pull over and dial in the correct settings on the dip switches. For me it was +8%.

Go home, put everything back together. I mounted the yellowbox with zip ties up under the dash, so that I can flip the switches if I need to(different size tires for example) without taking the kick panel apart again. I also used solder and heatshrink on all my connections to insure good contact/signal and so that I wouldn't have to do this again!

ak la gear de sportage, on tombe gearer 4:77
déconseiller pour ceux qui font de la route, pres de 1000 rpm de plus sur tout les vitesse !!!

pour la race: 4.77 avec un 1.5way diff

pis 4 street daily drive: 4.77 avec 1.5 way! lol non serieu! dépend des gout! mais avec une 4.77 tiluc a bien raison! tes RPMs sont dans barrures, pis tu shift pas mal plus souvent, pis a 100-110 t genre a 4.2K RPM

Mais quel ratio qui me faudrai pour pouvoir avoir un peut plus de fun pis etre raisonnable ca route....pour le rpm......dans ce ca la. Car je fais quand meme pas mal de grand route .

Tu as 4.10 d origine alors tu peux p-e opter pour la 4,56/4,57

ou encore 4.44...... check dans la section a vendre.....
